Latin Percussionist Based in Tokyo
Colombian percussionist, musical leader of the folkloric group "Colombia En Carnaval" based in Japan; and who since 2016 has trained with teachers of different folklore genres from the Colombian Caribbean.
Giving merit to this, since 2018 he has been participating in multiple festivals, cultural activities, and percussion workshops throughout Japan; Also in conjunction with the Colombian embassy, in large events such as the bicentennial of Colombia's independence in Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020, and recently at Fuji rock festival 2024.
Parallel to this, he has studied Latin percussion, and has been a member of several Latin music orchestras in Japan, playing instruments such as congas, bongos, cajon and minor percussion.
He is currently an active member of the Kilombo group with which he works constantly in places such as Tableaux lounge in Daikanyama and Havana 1950 in Hiroō.
He has also participated in important concerts such as Summer Sonic Tokyo (2023) and Bluenote Tokyo recently.
